On the heels of the news that Legally Blonde: The Musical is testing out a new reviewing policy in the U.K. whereby reviewers come a few days prior to opening night to better prep their comments, the producers have now revealed that they are instituting the West End's first ever lottery.  

A common practice in New York, now London theater goers will have the chance to win up to 20 top tickets for just £10 during the previews of Legally Blonde.

2 hours before each performance, audience hopefuls can collect a free lottery ticket at the Savoy box office. 30 minutes later tickets will be drawn entitling the holders (who have to be present) to buy up to 2 tickets for just £10 (usually £40-£55).

Patrons must show up at the Savoy box office at 5.30pm for 7.30pm performances, 12.30pm for 2.30pm Thursday and Saturday matinees and 1pm for Sunday matinees.  Tickets are £10 for preview performances 6 December 2009 - 13 January 2010 and £25 for performances from 14 January 2010.

The lottery is available only in-person at the Savoy box office and tickets must be paid for in cash only.
