Exciting musical theatre writing duo Taylor-Rown & Hughes are set to showcase their brand new piece 'Kandy Kottage' tonight, 14th March at The Landor as part of 'From Page to Stage'.
After a glittering success with their Christmas love song 'Your Presence' released by West End star Shona Lindsay, and their first ever public concert in the West End earlier this month, Taylor-Rowan & Hughes will be showcasing their exciting new chamber musical 'Kandy Kottage' at The Landor Theatre as part of its new musical theatre writing festival 'From Page to Stage' founded by producer Katy Lipson of Aria Entertainment and A Stage Kindly.
'Kandy Kottage' follows the story of Kevin, a timid teenager whose entire existence is spent in a sweet shop he runs for his overbearing Mother. Lonely and unable to cope with the world outside, he must find someone to bring perfection into his world of confection. Kevin embarks on a mission to win the heart of Greta, a sweet- toothed ingènue who dreams of Hollywood stardom. Giving him advice, encouragement and warnings along the way are his imaginary female sidekicks, The Kandy Kremes. Greta has a passion for sweets, but not for Kevin, so he decides to woo her in the only way he knows how - with sugar! Temples of toffee, palaces of peardrops, sweet sculptures bloom under Kevin's hands as he tries to wow her with his tantalisingly tasty works of art. But not all fairytales have a happy ending. To what lengths will Kevin go to keep Greta for himself? Join Taylor-Rowan & Hughes at The Kandy Kottage for this bitter-sweet musicalevent.
The showcase will be performed at The Landor Theatre tonight, 14th March 7.30pm. Cost: £12 / £8.
