Anthony Stephen Springall for The Alchemist Theatre Company and David Hutchinson and Phillip Rowntree for Sell a Door Theatre Company present Sealand "A New Nation is Born", written and directed by Luke Clarke. The Alchemist transfer their five star critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe hit SEALAND to the Arcola Tent, Co-Produced by Fringe First award winning Sell A Door Theatre Company.

Ted and his son escape from broken Britain to create a perfect nation seven miles out at sea. They are joined on their abandoned sea fort by another family and together they battle to raise their children and create a new society. Based on a true story, Sealand is an imaginative witty look at one man's obsession with utopia. A new life awaits you on Sealand, the off-shore colony.

The Alchemist aims to create new and exciting theatre that challenges, thrills and changes our audience through dynamic storytelling. We are dedicated to original work and over the next five years plan to write, direct, compose, and choreograph across the art forms as we examine the human condition. Anthony Stephen Springall was the youngest West End Producer in 2010 and Luke Clarke's work has been seen at the Southwark Playhouse, Nottingham Arts Theatre and Sanfield Theatre.

Sell a Door Theatre Company was established in 2007 under Producers David Hutchinson and Phillip Rowntree and have since produced in excess of 35 productions all of which with the intention of engaging with younger audiences who would otherwise not attend the theatre. In 2011 Sell a Door Theatre Company produced the First UK Tour of Spring Awakening.

Sealand is the first Co-Production between the two companies.
