Gareth Gates will be on holiday and therefore not appearing in Joseph on the following dates:

Monday 25 May - Wednesday 3 June inclusive (back in the show Thursday 4 June)
Thursday 9 - Saturday 11 July inclusive (back in the show Monday 13 July)

During these periods the role of Joseph will be played by Ricky Rojas.Born in Santiago, Chile, Ricky emigrated to Australia with his parents at the age of five.

Theatre includes: professional debut in Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story in which he played the hip-swivelling Ritchie Valens (worldwide, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Denmark, Ireland, UK tour and a year at the Strand (now Novello) Theatre). Ricky then went on to play Joe Vegas in Fame - The Musical (Aldwych) and Sonny, understudy Kenickie and Danny in Grease (UK tour). Ricky also performed in the inaugural cruise season of the Caribbean Princess, working with American choreographer Eartha Robinson.

Other work includes: Ricky is an accomplished singer/songwriter and regularly performs his own material in London.

With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this new staging of the record-breaking 1990's London Palladium production, which was directed by Steven Pimlott, is designed by Mark Thompson and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast. This colourful retelling of the biblical story of dreamboat Joseph and his uncanny abilities and that designer coat sings out to young and old alike, with a score which is wall-to-wall hits, including ‘Close Every Door' and ‘Any Dream Will Do'.

"JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT" opened at the Adelphi Theatre on 17 July 2007 to rave reviews and sell-out business.

Evening performances of "JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT" at the Adelphi Theatre are at 7.30pm on Mondays & Wednesdays-Saturdays, 7.00pm on Tuesdays, and with matinees at 3.00pm on Wednesdays & Saturdays.
