Roger Wright, Andrew Lloyd Webber's third place finalist in the ITV1 search for Jesus for his new arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and Paul Hazel are to star together in the West End premiere of You Can Do It.

You Can Do It will play at Leicester Square Theatre on Sunday October 7.

Brothers Bertie and Edwin Lightfoot are stuck in the past, dreaming about what could have been when they had the world at their feet as singing sensations, ‘The Lightfoot Brothers’. Then one day, their dead father ‘Pappa Lightfoot’ sends them a heavenly command to put on the show of their lives... and the party really begins!

You Can Do It is based on an original story by Roger Wright, and features a live band. It is a feel-good show filled with a mix of soul classics, jazz, pop, rock, rhythm and blues, featuring songs by such entertainment legends as Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis Jr, as well as Earth Wind and Fire, Whitesnake and many more.

Roger Wright and Paul Hazel have both starred in some of the biggest West End musicals. Roger originated the role of Simba in the original West End cast of The Lion King. He was Marvin Gaye in Dancing in the Streets and the compere and one of the lead singers in the long-running Michael Jackson show, Thriller Live.

Paul Hazel’s many West End shows include Five Guys Named Moe, Avenue Q, Starlight Express and Dancing in The Streets.
