Roland Emmerich's "Anonymous," revolves around the "real" scribe behind the Shakespeare's works.
A political thriller about who actually wrote the plays of William Shakespeare-- Edward De Vere, Earl of Oxford-- set against the backdrop of the succession of Queen Elizabeth I, and the Essex Rebellion against her.
The cast includes Vanessa Redgrave, Rhys Ifans, David Thewlis, Joely Richardson, Xavier Samuel, Derek Jacobi, Edward Hogg and Mark Rylance.
Roland Emmerich directs the film, which features a screenplay John Orloff.
"Anonymous" held a photocall at Studio Babelsberg on April 29, 2010 in Potsdam, Germany.
