Known to all as 'Piaf', the sparrow who rose from the streets of Paris to the international stage, French chanteuse Edith Gassion's life and career is as unique as her extraordinary singing voice.
Her music, a reflection of her life itself, passionately retells the love, loss and sorrow she experienced, and the fierce emotion and heartache she endured until her untimely death 50 years ago.
Directed by Curve Artistic DirectorPaul Kerryson, this new production will feature some of Piaf's greatest songs, such as La Vie en Rose, Hymne à l'amour and Non Je Ne Regrette Rien. This gripping, powerful story, which contains strong language and scenes of a sexual nature, will take you on a journey that explores the triumphs and tragedy that accompanied Piaf's rise to fame and the intense scrutiny and struggle that came with it.
