Donmar Warehouse presents THE PROMISE, now playing through December 8, 2012.  BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production below.

In war-ravaged Leningrad, 1942, three teenagers are thrown together by history. In the years following the siege allegiances shift, love falters and their vow of solidarity is stretched to its limits.

Aleksei Arbuzov's classic play, in this new version by Penelope Skinner, is a heartrending portrayal of youthful hope forged in war and tested by time.
