Photo Coverage: PIAF, Starring Frances Ruffelle

Frances Ruffelle stars as PIAF in Pam Gems' play, currently running at the Curve, Leicester.

Known to all as Piaf, the sparrow who rose from the streets of Paris to the international stage, French chanteuse Edith Gassion's life and career is as unique as her extraordinary singing voice.

Her music, a reflection of her life itself, passionately retells the love, loss and sorrow she experienced, and the fierce emotion and heartache she endured until her untimely death 50 years ago.

Directed by Curve Artistic Director Paul Kerryson, this new production will feature some of Piaf's greatest songs, such as La Vie en Rose, Hymne à l'amour and Non Je Ne Regrette Rien.
