Olivia Vinall to Play 'Desdemona' in National Theatre's OTHELLO, April 2013

According to the Daily Mail, Olivia Vinall will play Desdemona opposite Adrian Lester as Othello in The National Theatre's upcoming production of Shakespeare's tragedy, directed by Nicholas Hytner. Othello will open in April 2013.

Lester recently played actor Ira Aldridge, known for his own portrayal of Othello, in Red Velvet at the Tricycle Theatre. Vinall, an accomplished regional actress, last appeared in The Dark at the Top of the Stairs at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre.

Othello also stars Rory Kinnear as Iago.
