Although there is still no word on exactly if and when it will return, the much-appreciated Off-West End production of Austentatious has released a couple of trailers for the show. On their Twitter, they say: "We are working on it - all a question of money." Fingers crossed they make it back for those of us who didn't get the chance to go first time round. Keep an eye on BWW for Carrie's exclusive interview with Peter Huntley, Austentatious's producer, later this week.

As Brian Conley continues his second week in Hairspray in the role of Edna Turnblad, paramour Wilbur will be played by standby Adam Price at today and tomorrow's show (Nigel Planer is away). Down at Jersey Boys, understudy Jye Frasca is going on as Frankie Valli at today's matinee.

The Bush Theatre has announced an exciting new series of plays for its autumn/winter season, beginning with Jack Thorne's intriguing and political 2nd May 1997, swiftly followed by Nick Payne's If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet. At the tail-end of the season are The Whisky Taster by James Graham and black comedy Eigengrau. More information on all the productions can be found here.

The highlight of the Christmas season for the Bush looks to be the presentation of Stefan Golaszewski's solo shows Stefan Golazewski Speaks About A Girl He Once Loved and Stefan Golaszewski Is A Widower. Stefan (above) is currently premiering the latter show at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The Finborough has also announced a couple of new plays for its upcoming season. Bernard Shaw's absurd comedy Too True To Be Good will be on for just four weeks from 1st September, directed by Sarah Norman, while Emlyn Williams' somewhat autobiographical comedy The Druid's Rest is scheduled for a similarly brief run from 6th September.

The London Palladium has announced that singer Patrick Wolf will headline a one-off gig there in November. He plans to perform songs from latest album The Bachelor and previous releases with the help of a string section and gospel choir.

Musical showcase expert Perfect Pitch, which helps develops new UK musicals is to return to the Trafalgar Studios for its second season in the West End. It will be there from 3rd - 8th November, presenting musicals The Go-Between, In Touch, Super Alice Smith and From Up Here. Perfect Pitch is currently in Edinburgh for the fringe festival, where they will preview some of the work you can see in a couple of months in London.

Finally, Nick Ward's The Present will be revived at the c*ckTavern from 18th August to 5th September by resident company Good Night Out Presents. First presented back in 1995, this story of a hapless young man taken under the wing of a predatory trio and forced to relive his past through drink and drug-addled experiences looks like an intriguing proposition for the Tavern.
