Last night, we discovered our top 10 who are about to compete for the role of Jesus in the forthcoming arena tour of Superstar. And from tonight, we're going to find out which of these boys can sing live - and which have the charisma to hold the attention of thousands.
We have nine - yes, nine - shows in the next week and a half where the contestants will perform and the audience will ring in to save their favourites.
The most interesting part of this show was the arrival of Dawn French, the Vicar of Dibley, on the judging panel, who declared that she is treated the programme as a "dating show" and expects to get her "needs met", pretty much proposed to finalist Niall and told us about her teenage fumblings to the melody of 'A Whiter Shade of Pale'.
Jason Donovan took a rather odd role, talking to the performers as if he was the chair of an interview panel and quizzing them on their thoughts and reflections.
Otherwise, the big story was the understudy Jon, the holiday camp entertainer, getting his chance to compete along with the others in a final 11, as Andrew Lloyd Webber decided that he should be able to perform for the public.
Elsewhere, Afnan's parents provided some amazing comedy relief, with his mum suggesting that his dad might become a pole dancer to earn money to fund their son's musical career.
