Hampstead Theatre's OLD MONEY Announces Complete Casting

Forty years of respectable marriage should have prepared Joyce for respectable widowhood. But now she is free - and as realisation dawns a chance meeting with a stripper opens her eyes to a whole new world of possibilities.

Maureen Lipman and Tracy-Ann Oberman as mother and daughter are joined by Nadia Clifford, Geoffrey Freshwater, Eve Pearce and Timothy Watson in this comedy of personal discovery.

New voice Sarah Wooley makes her main stage debut following successful plays at The National Theatre Studio, Theatre 503 and BBC Radio.

Olivier award winner Terry Johnson returns to Hampstead Theatre following The Memory of Water, Cracked and Dead Funny. His numerous West End hits include the Tony award-winning La Cage Aux Folles (Menier Chocolate Factory, Playhouse Theatre & Broadway), End of the Rainbow (Trafalgar Studios, West End & UK Tour), The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Vaudeville Theatre), One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Garrick Theatre) and his stage adaptation of The Graduate (Gielgud Theatre). He also wrote and directed Hitchcock Blonde (Royal Court/West End) and Insignificance (Donmar Warehouse).

Maureen Lipman makes a much anticipated return to Hampstead Theatre following Peggy for You. Her many other stage credits include When We Were Married (Garrick Theatre), A Little Night Music (West End) and Oklahoma! (National Theatre). Her latest TV series was Ladies of Letters and she played the Mother in the Academy award winning film The Pianist. She performs regularly in Radio 4 Dramas.

Hampstead is delighted to welcome back Tracy-Ann Oberman following On the Rocks and 3 Sisters on Hope Street in 2008. Since then her recent theatre credits include Absurd Person Singular (Curve, Leicester), Boeing! Boeing! (Comedy Theatre/West End), and Earthquakes in London (Headlong/National Theatre). Television credits include Monroe, Doctor Who, Eastenders and Friday Night Dinner.

Nadia Clifford recently left Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She has since appeared in One Hour Only (Made From Scratch /Old Vic New Voices) and Twelfth Night (Greenaway Productions).

Geoffrey Freshwater’s many stage credits include Filumena (Almeida), The Tempest (Theatre Royal Bath), As You Like It, American Trade, Anthony and Cleopatra, King Lear, The Grain Store and many others for RSC. Film includes Invisible Woman and Sabotage, and radio includes The Archers.

Eve Pearce’s theatre roles include A Family Affair (Arcola), The Last Obit-One Woman Play (New End) and The Storm (Almeida). Film includes Penelope, Mirrormask and Topsy-Turvy and TV includes Torchwood, Rome, The Bill and Funland.

Timothy Watson has appeared in An Inspector Calls (Novello Theatre), Plague Over England (Finborough Theatre) and The Woman in Black (Fortune Theatre). TV includes Mr Selfridge, Casualty, Tales of the Black Death and Man and Boy.
