Nick Briggs will play Winston Churchill in DOCTOR WHO LIVE, contactmusic.com reports.  Briggs will also voice several monsters, include Daleks and Cybermen.

Briggs previously played Churchill in the 'Dr. Who' television episode 'Victory of the Daleks.'

In the stage version, a new character named Vorgenson will use an invention called The Minimiser to summon Churchill.  Nigel Planer, who will play Vorgenson, said, "I'm incredibly excited to be joining 'Doctor Who Live' and this role is something of a boyhood dream come true. My character Vorgenson, who has been developed specially for the show by Steven Moffat ('Doctor Who' executive producer), is the 'Greatest Showman in the Galaxy' and using his incredible invention, 'The Minimiser' he can make any 'Doctor Who' character appear on stage as part of his travelling show dedicated to his hero. I hope I can survive visiting nine cities in October sharing a stage with eleven 'Doctor Who' monsters and a flying Dalek in tow!"

Other actors who will be featured in the show include magicians The Twins and Matt Smith, who will play the Doctor in scenes on video, contactmusic.com reports.

DOCTOR WHO LIVE will open on October 8 at the Wembley Arena in London and will tour throughout the United Kingdom through November 7. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.doctorwholive.com or Ticketmaster.
