The Wyvern Theatre has announced that David Ashley will return to for this year's pantomime, Aladdin. Aladdin, starring Keith Chegwin, will run at the Wyvern Theatre from Saturday 8 December 2012 to Sunday 6 January 2013.

David Ashley is no stranger to Swindon. As well as playing Wendy in last year's Cinderella, he trained at the Tanwood Theatre School and made his pantomime debut, at the Wyvern, 26 years previous in Jack and the Beanstalk.

"David Ashley is a fantastic actor and one of the nicest people you could work with so I cannot wait to have him back at the Wyvern – in the town in which he first acted with Tanwood!" says Theatre Director Derek Aldridge. "He was one of the most popular stars of Cinderella and I know the audience will love to boo him again this year in Aladdin!"

Aladdin will boast a brand-new script, singing, dancing, stunning sets, beautiful costumes and an abundance of comedy.

"David is one of the most talented pantomime performers I have ever worked with," says Producer Daryl Back. "He was the most brilliant Ugly Sister and I know that his transformation to Abanazar will be spectacular!"
