Carl Prekopp Replaces Rob James Collier in CALENDAR GIRLS, Show Closes January 9

Carl Prekopp has replaced Rob James Collier as Lawrence/Liam in the West End run of CALENDAR GIRLS. The production will close on 9 January.

Prekopp's theatre include Danny in Sexual Perversity in Chicago (Norwich Playhouse), Charlie in Stoopud Fucken Animals (Traverse), Clarke/Dick Reeded/Lord Cheyne in Arden of Faversham (White Bear), Dazza in Mikey the Pikey (Pleasance, Edinburgh), Horatio in Hamlet (Merlin Theatre), Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet (Cork Opera House), Brad in F*ck You Up (Old Red Lion), Jack in The Bone Harvest and the title role in David Copperfield (Eastern Angles), Tony Lord in Tricky (Blood in the Alley), Playboys of the Western World (Cockpit), Septimus Hodge in Arcadia (Cochrane) and Armstrong/Phil in An Experiment with an Air Pump (Embassy Studio). Film: I Want Candy, Monday Morning, Saviour, Let Me Lay, Flesh and Blood, Riders and The Storyteller.He has appeared on the television shows Holby Blue and The Bill, and has also received the Carleton Hobbs Award for over 150 broadcasts for the BBC. 

Julie Goodyear (national treasure ‘Bet Lynch' in Coronation Street for 25 years) makes her London stage debut as "Miss July", alongside Kelly Brook who will bare all as "Miss September". Joining them are stars of TV and stage Janie Dee, Arabella Weir, Debbie Chazen, Helen Lederer, Rosalind Knight and Jan Leeming.

CALENDAR GIRLS is based on an inspiring true story that is uplifting, poignant and hilarious. The story of ordinary women who do something extraordinary and spark a global phenomenon by persuading one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference!

"CALENDAR GIRLS", is the new stage play by Tim Firth adapted from the screenplay he wrote for the 2003 film. "CALENDAR GIRLS" is directed by Hamish McColl, who won an Olivier Award for writing and performing "The Play What I Wrote" in the West End. "CALENDAR GIRLS" has a set by Robert Jones, with lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, costumes by Emma Williams and music by Steve Parry. The show is produced by David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers.

CALENDAR GIRLS" has broken all box office records at the Noël Coward Theatre in London with takings of well over £190,000 gross per week. The show donates their normal £1.50 booking fee on each ticket sold to Leukaemia Research and has now raised in excess of £150,000 for the fund by this means together with a percentage of merchandise sales and royalties. The play, which opened at the Noël Coward Theatre on 4 April this year, will continue to raise money for the fund as long as the show plays in the West End.
