Calendar Girls, which donates their normal £1.50 booking fee on each ticket sold to Leukaemia Research, has now raised £100,000 for the fund by this means. A further £50,000 has been raised through merchandise sales at the theatre together with a percentage of the show's royalties making the total figure so far raised £150,000. The play, which opened at the Noël Coward Theatre on 4 April this year, will continue to raise money for the fund as long as the show plays in the West End.

The new stage play by Tim Firth adapted from the screenplay he wrote for the 2003 film is continuing to do smash hit business. The show now boasts a cast including Gemma Atkinson, Jill Baker, June Brown, Richenda Carey, Sara Crowe, Anita Dobson, Jill Halfpenny, Jerry Hall and Jack Ryder.

It is directed by Olivier Award winner Hamish McColl, and has a set by Robert Jones, with lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, costumes by Emma Williams and music by Steve Parry.
