On 8 March, theatre company Just a Must is celebrating the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day with the UK premiere of Woman Bomb at the Tristan Bates Theatre in Covent Garden.

Woman Bomb is a multi-award winning play by Croatian playwright Ivana Sajk. It features a female suicide bomber, of no distinct origin or faith, in the last minutes before a suicide attack. The Woman Bomb poses the question: "is this an act of heroism ending in my suicide, or is this a suicide hidden behind an act of heroism?"

This poetic and dynamic play which merges rich text with original video design is directed by two emerging female directors, Vanda Butkovic and Maja Milatovic-Ovadia. The cast comprises of three actresses; Laura Anne Harling, known for her roles in the films David Copperfield (also starring Daniel Radcliffe and Maggie Smith) and Gosford Park as well as Laura Pradelska and Nikki Squire

Ivana Sajko is a playwright, artist, theoretician, renowned one-time presenter of her own radical arts television show in Croatia, literary magazine editor, performer of "stand-up tragedies", and champion of what she calls "unbearable political theatre". Her plays have been staged around the world, but never in the UK.

The play will run at the Tristan Bates Theatre from 8 to 12 March and then again from 2 to 14 May. On 8 March, all women will get tickets at concession price of £10.
